Created in 1993, LAHSA is a joint powers authority of the city and county of Los Angeles. As the lead agency in the HUD-funded Los Angeles Continuum of Care, we coordinate and manage over $800 million annually in federal, state, county, and city funds for programs providing shelter, housing, and services to people experiencing homelessness.
Under the leadership of the Director of Access & Engagement, this position is primarily responsible for accessing resources for providing intervention and emergency services for homeless persons residing in non-traditional housing throughout Los Angeles County.
Team members offer homeless people the opportunity to end their current homeless situation. As these services and referrals are provided to homeless persons where they are living, team members spend a major portion of their workday in the field using LAHSA’s vans and mobile communications equipment.
