Created in 1993, LAHSA is a joint powers authority of the city and county of Los Angeles. As the lead agency in the HUD-funded Los Angeles Continuum of Care, we coordinate and manage over $800 million annually in federal, state, county, and city funds for programs providing shelter, housing, and services to people experiencing homelessness.

Under the direction of the Reports Development Manager, the Senior Report Developer will be responsible for the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of ad-hoc and recurring reports as well as dashboards that utilize the underlying data stores for internal and external use.
 
Working with cross-functional teams, the Senior Report Developer will participate to thoroughly analyze and clarify report requirements, make recommendations, and educate when necessary to meet business needs.
 
The Senior Report Developer will also be required to assist the Data Analyst and Report Developer team in providing analytical support for report troubleshooting for end-users in the Los Angeles Continuum of Care (LA CoC).

• Develop or assist in the development, automation, and upgrading of queries, reports, and dashboards for internal and external users. 
• Responsible for architecting and developing Business Intelligence (BI) solutions with technologies utilized by the agency.
• Work with Users to develop strategies to utilize data warehouse to improve business processes.
• Design and plan new data marts and data warehouses.
• Provide support as required to ensure availability and performance of developed reports and dashboards for internal and external users. 
• Other duties and special projects as assigned. 

• Intermediate or Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, SQL Server Data Tools, and SQL Server Management Studio. 
• Performance tuning experience related to reporting queries. 
• Intermediate or Advanced knowledge of relational database management systems. 
• Programming/Scripting experience and knowledge of data/system analysis, software development life cycle. 
• Knowledge of HMIS preferred, but not required. 
• Intermediate to advanced skills of Excel, including VBA.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
• Ability to work independently, be proactive, and exercise good judgment. 
• Flexibility to work with individuals with varying work styles. 
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills. 
• Open to new ideas and approaches. 
• Attention to detail. 
• Analytical thinker. 

• Proven professional experience and educational background.

Schedule

• The Chief Executive Officer or designee may change the schedule of positions between remote, hybrid and onsite, as necessary to accomplish LAHSA's business needs.
