As the lead agency in the HUD-funded Los Angeles Continuum of Care, we coordinate and manage over $800 million annually in federal, state, county, and city funds for programs providing shelter, housing, and services to people experiencing homelessness.
Under direction of the Manager of Unit Acquisition, the Unit Acquisitions Coordinator will provide guidance, technical assistance, and programmatic support to agencies in the community, ensuring that all Los Angeles Continuum of Care funded permanent housing programs tasked to secure permanent housing units and conduct unit acquisitions work are being administered and coordinated effectively, efficiently, and ethically within and across service planning areas. The Unit Acquisitions Coordinator will assess, develop and coordinate the implementation of best practices with the recruitment and procurement of new landlords, landlord support networks and standards to ensure mutually beneficial and professional relationships, and work to ensure that all Los Angeles Continuum of Care funded Unit Acquisition programs work collaboratively and efficiently to ensure quick, and seamless participant and agency connection to newly developed and existing landlords. Additionally, working within the Permanent Housing Department, the Unit Acquisitions Coordinator will identify, and address program gaps and needs, and work to align system goals, opportunities, resources, and address barriers to program and systems-level success. The Unit Acquisitions Coordinator will collect and synthesize data to target data informed guidance and technical assistance.Full Time
