As a Nutrition Specialist you take pride in representing Baxter and our nutrition portfolio of products. Your keen understanding of your products and belief in the value and quality they provide to patients fuels your confidence. You enjoy being on location, building relationships, and establishing trust with the doctors and nurses who use Baxter solutions every day.
In this position you cover the parenteral nutrition product line calling on Pharmacists, Dietitians, Clinicians and Specialists. You enjoy seeing the connections between these teams and how they work together to drive business results. The insights and feedback you share with your team and cross-functional partners help validate and inform priorities and changes and ultimately help drive our mission of saving and sustaining lives forward!
Home Base: Orange County or Los Angeles, CA
Territory: Orange County and Los Angeles, CA
Travel: 50% travel within territory, overnight as needed
Fleet: Company car
What you'll be doing:
Achieving sales quotas through the direct sale of the company's parenteral nutrition product portfolio by implementing sales strategies to attain sales volume, product mix and profit objectives.
Calling on prospective customers, mastering effective sales presentations, providing technical and administrative product information and/or demonstrations, and quotes appropriate customer prices.
Monitoring sales against forecasts and participating in the determination of market potential for the territory.
Partnering closely with marketing, medical information and consultant pharmacists to support customer experience.
Providing feedback to your immediate supervisor and marketing personnel for the development of marketing policy, recommended product and product line revisions as well as pricing changes.
Promoting the Baxter Culture through positive ongoing relationships and activities.
What you'll bring:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
3 years of successful sales experience within medical/healthcare industry
Successful hospital sales experience selling to multiple customers.
Clinical experience as a nurse, dietitian, or pharmacist with parenteral nutrition patients is a plus.
Successful sales experience with IV therapy products and/or pharmacy operations is a plus.
Experience in negotiating and closing new business and/or budgeting.
Demonstrated strategic selling skills (strategy development and execution).
Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Valid driver's license required.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $60,000 to $132,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and long-term incentive.
