HIGH SCHOOL INTERVENTION TEACHER

Grades 9-12 (HOURLY)

2022-2023 School Year

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid California Teaching Credential required (Preliminary or Clear)
  • Commitment to Los Alamitos Unified School District’s mission, vision and priority goals
  • Passion for working with children; ability to motivate and support students in reaching high levels of
academic success
  • Outstanding skills in problem-solving and critical-thinking
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and work closely with a wide
range of stakeholders
  • Well-grounded in learning and reinforcement theory
  • Ability to work with students individually and in small or large groups
  • Successful classroom experience preferred
  • Ability to efficiently interpret, manage, and utilize multiple sets of data in order to best support student’s
progress
  • A results-oriented, goal driven, team approach to work
  • Ability to be flexible and revise priorities in accordance with the requirements of student needs, school
goals and district priorities along with a strong commitment to learn

ASSIGNMENT

  • Provide targeted instruction to various high school students

SALARY AND BENEFITS

  • $30.00 per hour, up to 28 hours per week
