June 19 and July 4-5 are non-paid days for summer school.
The salary for certificated staff members is $45.00 per hour with no sick or vacation days. Planning Days
will be paid at the rate of $45.00 per hour. If a substitute is needed, the substitute pay rate is $25 per hour.
Priority for hiring summer staff will be given to teachers trained in the teaching of reading, written
language and math remediation strategies as well as other specific content areas offered. Depending on
the number of applications received, interviews will be conducted to determine which teachers will be
best able to provide an intensive and engaging instructional program for students. All classes are subject
to the necessary student enrollment count. If enrollment is insufficient, the classes will not be offered. If
