As a Geriatric Nursing Assistant, you must have a kind, patient and empathetic personality as well as a commitment to providing patients with the best possible care. You must also be a team player with a strong work ethic and the willingness to pitch in and help wherever and whenever it is needed. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.

In addition to Lorien’s infection prevention and control program, we are proactively enhancing HVAC Equipment filter media type and increasing filter media changes in our buildings. We are also installing Commercial Air Purification Devices in our HVAC Systems. These devices utilize the latest technology in treating indoor air within Healthcare, Schools, Universities, Restaurants and Government buildings across the country. We selected this technology because it actively attacks airborne mold, bacteria, and viruses and VOC’s within the equipment airstream and living space.

While the State’s guidance has not required installation of this technology, Lorien is taking this extra step on its own initiative and expense for the benefit and safety of our residents and staff.
