Who We Are:
Loretta's Little Miracles is a licensed Pediatric Day Healthcare Facility provided skilled nursing services to medically fragile and developmentally disabled patients ages 0-21yrs. We not only care for the medical needs, but also their hearts and want assist them in reaching developmental, educational, social and emotional milestones.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Provides specialized instruction to pupils to meet the goals and objectives as developed in the Individualized Education Program (IEP)/Individualized Family Service Program (IFSP).
2. Assess individual students to determine present levels of performance.
3. Serves as a member of the Individualized Education Program/Individualized Family Service Program Team.
4. Implements the IEP/IFSP with appropriate lesson plans, materials, and classroom strategies, and prepares Individualized Education Programs/ Individualized Family Service Program.
5. Uses effective behavior management techniques to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
6. Prepares schedules and timelines to implement classroom activities.
7. Observes and makes ongoing evaluation of pupil's academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records, prepares progress reports, and communicates with parents on the individual pupil's progress.
8. Cooperates with other professional staff members in helping pupils solve health, behavior and learning problems.
9. Appropriately mainstreams children into integrated settings for maximum interaction with peers.
10. Creates a functional and attractive environment for learning through room displays, bulletin boards, and
interest centers.
11. Plans and coordinates the work of aides in order to maximize student learning.
12. Maintains professional competence through participation in in-service educational activities.
13. Meets and confers with parents, staff members and coordinator as to children's needs.
14. Takes inventories and prepares orders for classroom aids and equipment.
15. Completes required educational forms.
16. Works collaboratively with Special Education Coordinator, nursing staff and other IEP/IFSP team members
to foster student learning.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Personal Qualifications:
1. Interest and understanding of medically fragile students.
2. Willingness to stay abreast of current trends, innovations, and practices of education of medically fragile students.
3. Demonstrates personal characteristics which are conducive to good communication and self-management.
4. Must possess a private vehicle, valid California driver's license and carry current automobile insurance with
at least minimum coverage for public liability and property damage.
5. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and reach freely & assist clients with standing and walking.
6. Current physical and Negative TB Test.
7. Clear criminal background.
8. Proof of current CPR.

1. Ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff.
2. Sensitive to each child's needs.
3. Performs duties and responsibilities with a high degree of professional integrity.
TRAINING AND/OR CREDENTIALS
Education:
1. Minimum 12 ECE units required (concurrent enrollment considered) or equivalent experience
Experience:
1. Successful teaching experience or training in planning to implement IEPs/IFSPs for children who may have some or all of the following conditions: severe to profound mental disabilities, non-ambulatory, in need of feeding training, in need of toilet training, seizure disorders, severe deficits in fine and gross motors functioning, speech and language deficits, and autism.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum, materials, and strategies for educating students with severe disabling conditions.
3. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with support services, including an instructional aide, physical and occupational therapist, speech and language pathologist, adaptive physical education specialist, psychologist, and nursing staff.
