Job Title: Field Safety Specialist
FLSA Status: Exempt
Department: Environmental Health & Safety
Reports to: Manager, Field Safety & Health - North America
GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:
Responsible for recognizing and evaluating safety and environmental risks for field operations, and for implementing control measures that are designed to mitigate those risks resulting from human error and equipment operation. Serve as a safety and environment resource for field employees.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Operations, Transportation Safety Administration, Occupational Health
Experience: 1-2 years relative safety experience. 3 years railroad knowledge and experience.
Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Licenses/Certifications: Obtain and Maintain railroad safety training and certifications
5 years combination of education and experience in safety management, railroad, or occupational health
