Lorain County Metropolitan Park District is Hiring a Line Cook Near Lorain, OH

Line cook duties will consist of assisting with all their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies. Prepare food for service. Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. Clean up station and take care of leftover food. Stock inventory appropriately. Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion. Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Requirements
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a restaurant cook or prep cook.
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks. Must be able to work evenings and weekends. Must be certified in food protection from the state of Ohio.
Up to 39 hours per week
RATE OF PAY: $13 per hour, commensurate with the employee's experience
Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license. New employees must satisfactorily complete a background check. Lorain County Metropolitan Park District policy prohibits hiring new employees who are tobacco users.
