Toddler Teacher

Lilyfrog Learning Center (formerly KinderArt Preschool) is seeking a talented, engaging and energetic Toddler Teacher for 35-40 hours per week.

This position is responsible for the oversight and delivery of all lesson planning to meet the individual needs of the children in the Lilyfrog Toddler classroom.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop lesson plans
• Communicate effectively with parents
• Participate in staff and training meetings
• Design an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom
• Interact with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
• Present expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level
• Plan and implement activities that develop self-esteem and social skills
• Build teamwork with fellow staff
• Use assessment tools when needed
• Shift times fluctuate but are roughly 8:30am -5:00pm Monday-Friday

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED and 3 years previous experience with children a must
• CPR/First Aid certification offered
• Early Childhood Teaching Certificate, RIELDS training and CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Must pass additional RI state required childcare background and health screenings
