Position Summary

The Data Analyst is responsible for preparing the budgets, analyzing and tracking financial performance, and reporting biweekly and monthly workload information by work group.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

  • Organizes and analyzes the department’s financial data by pay period and month and prepares reports and graphs for managers and staff. Maintains department data and files on the Pharmacy server for manager access
  • Analyzes and tracks department financial performance.
  • Engages in a positive and constructive manner with co-workers, and projects a professional image of the department in dress and behavior. Attends department education and training in-services. Participates in specific performance improvement projects as applicable.
  • Is organized and has the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time. Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines the necessary sequence of activities needed to achieve goals.
  • Allocates time and resources efficiently and effectively; prioritizes work and delegates as appropriate; works to minimize institutional risk by acting as a responsible steward for the organization.
  • Generates creative approaches to addressing problems and opportunities; identifies and weighs options; makes sound decisions after reviewing all relevant information; anticipates and plans for potential problems; takes calculated risks; recognizes the impact of solutions.
  • The ability to efficiently and accurately identify and locate relevant sources of information followed by a capacity to synthesize and analyze data of various complexity and importance.
  • Demonstrates the ability to use technology effectively and productively; continually updates skills and knowledge; addresses problems as they arise or seeks help as appropriate.
  • The ability to understand a situation or problem by identifying patterns or connections between ideas or situations that are not obvious or related. The ability to recognize and organize the parts of an issue in a systemic way and to frame new ideas and courses of action.
  • The ability to effectively utilize available time for the completion of necessary job tasks.
  • Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Qualifications


Qualifications/Work Experience

  • 3 years' experience using financial software programs with a demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and ability to analyze data required.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Education/Licensure/Certification

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
