We are seeking an Experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse to join our
busy Pediatric Offices in Allen / Prosper
This is a demanding position that requires phone triage and leadership experience. Effective communication skills are necessary. You will assist the providers in daily tasks and being in a leadership role while working with Medical Assistants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Telephone Triage: Interviews parents/caretakers and records information into the patient chart, responds appropriately as directed in Lone Star Kids Care phone triage protocol, obtains physician instructions/orders as needed, and sends prescriptions to the pharmacy as approved by the physicians.
· Completes FMLA’s, physical paperwork, school and daycare forms, and miscellaneous forms. Obtains physician signatures.
· Performs invasive procedures as directed by the physicians; urine catheterizations, burn debriding, injections etc.
· Assists medical assistants as needed to maintain a smooth and efficient flow to the physician’s workday.
· Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, check-in patients, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients.
· Check-out patients, assist with referral processing, pre-authorizations, and arrange laboratory services.
· Cleaning and preparing treatment rooms for clinical examination and assisting practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care.
· Greeting and interviewing patients, obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, test results and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
· Draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
· Preparing and administering medications and or vaccines for patients as directed by physicians.
· Operates equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests, prepares requisitions for testing at other laboratories, calls for specimen pick-ups, and informs parents/caretakers of results.
· Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
· Experience with electronic medical healthcare record systems, preferably with Office Practicum.
· Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies.
· Manager Vaccine Inventory and Order
· Perform other duties as assigned by practice manager or as requested by healthcare provider.

· Attendance/Punctuality – Consistently at work and on time. Ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent.
Qualifications:
Must be a registered nurse in the State of Texas. Credentials must be current and a copy on file. Must maintain the credentials while employed at our practice at own expense.
