London Bay, a luxury homebuilder with over 30 years of experience, is currently recruiting for a Full-time Staff Accountant to join our team. The person in this position will report into the Controller and provide a wide variety of accounting tasks and duties related to reporting, review and analysis, helping the Department and the Company meet or exceed its goals while providing exceptional service. The role will be a heavy user of Microsoft Excel and Sage 300 ERP system. This is a hands-on role that will touch every aspect of the organization. Need to be willing to learn all aspects of systems and processes.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities (Essential functions, Specific tasks)
· Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision
· Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions
· Execute treasury functions reconciling bank accounts and transferring funds between institutions on a daily basis.
· Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
· Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and intercompany allocations
· Ensure timely preparation of financial reports to management. Continuous review of reports for accuracy, reliability and usefulness.
· Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statement for various entities
· Prepare and maintain subsidiary schedules for various financial statement support for multiple entities
· Assists in assessing and communicating financial and operating results to managers and executives
· Prepare information and support tax preparation inquiries from external CPA firm for various entities
· Reconcile and create journals entries for intercompany accounts
· Create reports to analyze and verify financial information
· Respond to internal/external inquiries regarding financial data
· Assist with the daily data processing and requirements of all entities (supporting AP & AR)
· Complete various special projects as assigned by the Controller

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
Mandatory Experience/Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required. Excellent with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Minimum of 3-4 years relevant work experience. Must be able to follow and model the LBH Core Values – Quality, Teamwork, Commitment, Integrity and Respect. Sage 300 and payroll experience required.
Desired Experience/Qualifications: Prior Sage 300 Accounting experience. Strong understanding and foundation of accounting principles and financial reporting. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and within teams. Ability to work with minimal supervision to accomplish some tasks.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods of time. Lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
