Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing quality patient care and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy. Your expertise in medication administration, acute care, and aseptic techniques will be essential in delivering exceptional service to our patients.
Duties:
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Perform medication inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications
- Maintain accurate patient records and prescription information
- Provide excellent customer service to patients by addressing inquiries and resolving issues
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate medication therapy for patients
- Adhere to all pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain compliance
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program
- Proficient knowledge of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing systems and inventory management and Prime Rx Software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation and recordkeeping
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
Skills:
-Bi Lingual (English & Spanish) candidate
-Working Knowledge of Prime Rx Software or Other Pharmacy Software
- Knowledge of pharmacy technician duties and responsibilities
- Strong patient service orientation
