Responsibilities:

Case Management:

    • Represent clients in civil litigation matters related to insurance defense.
    • Handle a caseload of insurance-related disputes, including personal injury claims, property damage, and liability issues.
    • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare legal documents.
    • Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
  1. Legal Strategy:
    • Develop effective legal strategies to protect clients’ interests.
    • Evaluate cases, assess liability, and recommend settlement or trial options.
    • Collaborate with clients, insurance companies, and other parties involved in the litigation process.
  2. Client Advocacy:
    • Advocate for clients in negotiations, settlements, and court proceedings.
    • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the litigation process.
    • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
  3. Risk Assessment:
    • Analyze insurance policies, coverage issues, and potential risks.
    • Assess the strength of claims against insured parties.
    • Identify potential areas of exposure and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
  4. Legal Research and Writing:
    • Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, case law, and regulations.
    • Draft legal memoranda, motions, and briefs.
    • Prepare discovery requests and responses.
  5. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
    • Collaborate with insurance adjusters, experts, and witnesses.
    • Attend team meetings and case reviews.
  6. Production Requirements
    • Ranges from 1,800 to 2,100 hours annually (dependent on experience)

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • FIVE (5) years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in insurance defense.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of insurance law, torts, and civil procedure.

Compensation:

$150,000 to $210,000 (dependent on experience)

Incentive bonuses on quarterly basis based on productivity
