We are searching for an Experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our team of professionals. We are a full service, small animal hospital located in Richmond, Indiana providing quality and compassionate care to our patients and their owners. We believe pets are part of the family and are looking for an individual who shares that belief and will complement our efforts in providing quality medical care to our patients.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide client care by greeting clients and patients in a timely manner and ensuring the front reception area maintains a calm and professional atmosphere
• Answer phone calls – including answering and/or screening questions and scheduling appointments
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail, email, and fax
• Check in patients and place in exam rooms
• Process client payments at check-out
• Process End of Day reports and prepare bank deposit
• Manage and update patient files – including filing
• Educate clients on all medical recommendations as well as preventive medicine, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm, intestinal parasites, etc.
• Fill medication prescriptions and educate client on proper dosing and potential side effects
• Maintain the cleanliness of waiting area
• Assist the entire team to provide a safe and clean work environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a Veterinary Clinic
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
