High volume, progressive Ophthalmic Practice is looking for an energetic, service oriented team member to join our practice. The medical front desk receptionist is the patient’s first point of contact in the team approach of the organization. Job duties of the medical receptionist include greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and helpful manner, registering patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance and collecting patient co-payments, while providing excellent customer service in a medical setting. The medical receptionist is able to multitask various job duties throughout the work day, while observing HIPPA privacy guidelines, and possesses excellent computer skills.
Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent
1 year medical experience required; Ophthalmology preferred
1 year Electronic Medical Records/Practice Management required
