What You'll be Doing:

  • Develop presentation materials that use analysis to tell stories, drive decisions, and create action
  • Identify and implement new opportunities to provide timely and relevant data for decision making within business units
  • Examine current metrics, identify where to optimize, and streamline measurement processes
  • Demonstrate comprehensive and detailed analysis of complex data sets
  • Identify, initiate, and lead special projects in addition to daily responsibilities
  • Performs Data analysis for data integrity, accuracy, and error correction
  • Provides support for day-to-day needs of customers (Fleet, Fuel, Tolls, Labor, etc.)
  • Develops training materials and conducts remote training from the St. Louis office
  • Own and maintain critical tools, metrics and on-going analyses that support planning and efficiency tracking
  • Co-create operational metrics with key stakeholders that clearly define success and enable daily, weekly, and monthly tracking
  • Own and/or support a variety of projects and initiatives within Operations; examples include:
    • Report on efficiency metrics that provide real-time and weekly insight into cost and productivity
    • Publish Weekly KPIs and improve the existing process to ensure we have the right metrics with the right targets that drive the right behaviors
  • Perform research and analyses of various third-party vendor data sources
  • Create and maintain customized data sets
  • Work closely with leadership and team members on supporting strategic delivery initiatives. Support may include development of the program, providing insights, data, metrics, reporting and/or by actively tracking and reporting on progress and initiative updates
  • Contribute to the vision, strategy and ongoing enhancements to overall data analytics and reporting frameworks, including creating content, developing, and maintaining a cadence, and leveraging the most meaningful data and actionable insights
  • Maintain the overall integrity of the delivery-related data
  • Other duties as assigned or needed

The Skills You'll Need:

  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • An aptitude for relationship-building, listening, gathering information, and learning from others
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel and to work under minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills to convey data and storyline; candidate should be comfortable working with large amounts of data
  • Experience with data analysis / management a plus
  • Resourceful self-starter; great attention to detail; ability to multi-task
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to connect dots across data sources / processes
  • Ability to synthesize findings, develop action recommendations, and clearly communicate to team members and / or end users
  • Strong ability to collaborate
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel at an advanced level is a must
  • Reliable and predictable availability
  • Ability to present insights from both quantitative and qualitative sources to leadership
  • Understanding of business intelligence and processes
  • Ability to display strong self-initiative and support recommendations with sound thinking and fact-based evidence (data, research, best practices, etc.)
  • Proven record of meeting/exceeding established goals
  • 5 years previous business experience in one or more of the following areas preferred:
    • Logistics
    • Transportation
    • Finance
