Lodge at Schroon Lake is Hiring a Sales Manager Near Schroon Lake, NY

Nestled within a magnificent stand of white pines on the sparkling waters of Schroon Lake, The Lodge at Schroon Lake offers the authentic Adirondacks experience from the comfort of a cozy lakeside resort. Our 36-acre Lodge at Schroon Lake in New York's Adirondacks is perfect for outdoor adventurers and active families. With features like an indoor swimming pool, variety of sports courts, and prime lakeside real estate, there’s no shortage of things to do in every season. Our resort reopened in June of 2023 after undergoing extensive renovations, but our oldest building still dates back to 1917. Come be part of our future while celebrating the great history that exists at our resort.

This position is primarily responsible for detailing, servicing, and delivering the group rooms and/or catering business, as well as achieving the highest level of guest satisfaction. This position is responsible for developing relationships with clients, and must be able to upsell additional services, as well as detail and service all clients/groups/events. This position may also be responsible for prospecting and calling on new accounts.

Local candidates preferred.

Benefits and pay range:

· Salary range of $70,000-$75,000 a year plus bonus potential

· This position qualifies for a full benefits package including medical, dental, short-term disability, 401K plus matching potential, life insurance, and hotel travel benefits.

· Attention to Detail – ability to follow instructions and achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing tasks

· Computer skills/ Technical Aptitude – proficiency in computer technology, i.e. e-mail, MS Word, Excel, & other hotel related systems. Utilize technology to enhance organizational efficiency

· Training – ability to share knowledge and act as a resource in teaching others to perform tasks efficiently and safely

Experience/Education:

Hotel sales/Catering sales and/or hotel experience required. Management or previous supervisory experience preferred. College Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience; Delphi.fdc a plus. Must have strong communication skills and be detail oriented.
