A facility is seeking a hand surgeon for locum tenens coverage.
While in Central Arizona explore the outdoors and visit Saguaro National Park or go on a hot air balloon ride at sunrise!
This position is available at a Level 1 trauma hospital that utilizes EPIC EMR. Candidates with experience in general surgery or plastics, preferably with hand surgery expertise, are preferred, although those with orthopedic surgery and hand experience may also be considered. Fellowship training is required. While there is night and weekend APP coverage, not all weekends are covered. On average, there are 5-6 calls per night. Weekdays see an average of 4 cases per day between providers in the operating room (OR), while weekends have an average of 2 cases per day when on call. The position entails clinic, OR, and rounding duties during the daytime for 2 weeks per month. This includes a combination of weekday nights and 24-hour all-day weekend calls, totaling 10 shifts, with at least one weekend included.
