Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic Part-Time Senior Project Manager to oversee Developer Projects and Encroachment Permits in Riverside County. The role involves reviewing hydrology/hydraulics calculations, coordinating meetings, and ensuring the successful development of flood control facilities. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing project scopes, budgets, and schedules, while fostering key client relationships and ensuring adherence to quality standards.

• Review hydrology/hydraulics calculations and design flood control facilities.
• Coordinate meetings to facilitate project progress and favorable outcomes.
• Collaborate with encroachment permit sections to review and resolve necessary elements.
• Develop and achieve project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Perform quality control reviews on project documents for conformity and assurance.
• Manage the preparation of reports, budgets, specifications, plans, and permits.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate activities for multiple major projects.
• Maintain key client relationships and position for future projects.
• Write technical papers for publication.
• Identify and manage project dependencies, critical path, success criteria, and milestones.
• Coach, mentor, and supervise project team members and contractors.
• Ensure production work meets client quality expectations and industry standards.
• Schedule and track project milestones and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with established procedures for work, documentation, and project management.
• Conduct project lessons learned and create recommendation reports.
• Develop teaming arrangements, lead proposal preparation, and participate in interviews.

Hourly range for this position varies between $90- $108, depending upon applicable experience.

Qualifications

• This position requires intimate knowledge of District systems including but not limited to entitlement process, condition of approvals and encroachment permits data base and processing
• To understand surveying and basic engineering terminology
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
• 30 years of experience in the field or a related area
• Currently licensed as a professional engineer (PE) by the State of California or having the ability to obtain such within 6 months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license
• A condition of employment for this position is complying with the company vaccination requirements.
