Description

The A/V Technician / Lead will be responsible for managing and leading on-site teams for installation on projects in the DFW area. Candidate will help perform installation tasks, but also ensure that Install Technicians stay on task and perform their duties efficiently and within company A/V Industry standards. Additionally, Lead may be required to dress/label racks, test rooms and input audits, and troubleshoot issues. The Lead will need to communicate the project team daily work assignment completions and status. Skill sets should include problem solving and leadership. Extron, Creston, or AMX certifications are desirable

Requirements

• Lead install teams at Job Site
• Communicate updates to PM's daily/nightly
• Audit Rooms
• QC installers work on site. Pay close attention to the proper mounting/securing of all heavy objects
• Delegate work assignments to Installers and Helpers
• Review Scope and ensure all product is loaded for the daily work assignments
• Be able to commission or assist with commissioning of projects
• Ensure facility doors are locked/secured if we are the last people on-site
• Be able to safely drive a box truck
• Be able to effectively troubleshoot and repair equipment (when possible) and resolve service tickets
• Maintain and update install spreadsheets

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus. Occasionally will have to work in outside weather conditions. May also be required to use specialized equipment, machines, drive loading truck. Must be able to lift at least 150 pounds.
