Job Number 663559BR Description:The Quality Engineer position at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) in Troy, AL, supporting the THAAD Program involves a range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the quality of products in a manufacturing environment. Here's a breakdown of the key responsibilities and qualifications for the role: Key Responsibilities: Developing and Maintaining Quality Standards: Develop, modify, apply, and maintain work instructions, evaluation and control systems, and protocols to ensure that quality is built into the product. Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to establish and maintain quality standards throughout the production process. Inspection and Testing: Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance tests, perform statistical analysis to assess the cost of non-compliance, and determine responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards. Auditing: Audit quality systems to identify deficiencies and implement corrective measures to ensure compliance with reliability standards. Documentation: Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. Specialization: May specialize in various areas such as design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control, and research and development.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college and/or equivalent experience/combined education. Engineering support in a manufacturing environment. Experience with MS Office applications: Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance and must have at least an interim secret clearance to start. **Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ("ATF") background check to obtain approval to be an "employee possessor" (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment
Desired Skills:
Two or more years of related experience with a bachelor's degree. Bachelor's degree focus in a technical curriculum. Lean Six Sigma/Green Belt or higher certification. SAP experience a plus. 2 years of quality manufacturing experience.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
