We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support development and production operations of Antenna mechanical/electrical assemblies.
This Manufacturing Engineering position requires basic familiarity with small antenna products and respective components for aerospace applications. Understanding engineering drawings, processing design for manufacturability techniques for antenna hardware coupled with innovative thinking is required. Responsibilities include determining sequence of build, selecting or designing required tools, solving floor production issues.
Key Duties for this position will include:
• Designing manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for components and assemblies.
• Writing production planning, inspecting and assessing defective hardware, and optimizing production flow to meet program deliverables.
• Supporting Production Control in prioritizing work in process to meet program delivery schedules.
• Interfacing with shop floor personnel to implement process improvements to gain efficiencies and represent manufacturing in peer reviews of engineering drawings to enhance the design for manufacturability.
• Tool design, supporting Quality Assurance in determining Cause and Corrective Actions for process-related defects.
• Weekend or off-hour support may be required to support Production schedules.
Typical Experience:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with minimum 2 years of professional Manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical assembly drawings and define manufacturing steps to meet all requirements.
• Ability to read and follow Engineering Specifications.
• Experience with nonconformance processing (i.e. defect disposition, cause and corrective action, etc.) for high value hardware.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and principles as well as work measurements and labor standards.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills required in a team environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Prior experience working with antenna products, familiarity with manufacturing processes used for antenna production, understanding of requirements parameters such as Gain, Return Loss, Insertion loss, VSWR.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $74,000 - $139,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
