LNHR Consulting is Hiring a Junior High Science Teacher Near Maricopa, AZ

Overview:
As a Junior High School Science Teacher at A Charter Schools, you will have the exciting opportunity to ignite students' curiosity and passion for science, fostering their inquiry skills and scientific literacy. You will design and implement an engaging science curriculum that challenges students to explore, experiment, and analyze the natural world while meeting academic standards and preparing them for future science education.

Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Develop and adapt science curriculum and instructional materials for junior high school students, ensuring alignment with state standards and promoting hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences.
  • Instructional Delivery: Deliver dynamic and interactive science lessons that stimulate student interest and engagement, incorporating a variety of teaching strategies, technologies, and real-world examples to enhance understanding and retention of scientific concepts.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, provide timely and constructive feedback to students, and use assessment data to inform instructional planning and differentiation to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning, with clear expectations for behavior, academic rigor, and active student participation.
  • Differentiation: Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles, abilities, and backgrounds, providing scaffolding and support as needed to ensure all students have access to challenging and meaningful science learning experiences.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to coordinate instruction, share resources, and integrate cross-curricular connections, fostering a collaborative and supportive professional learning community.
  • Parent and Community Engagement: Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, academic performance, and opportunities for enrichment, and actively participate in school events, parent conferences, and community outreach activities.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance content knowledge, pedagogical skills, and technology integration, and contribute to the collective growth and improvement of the science department and school community.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Certification or Bachelor's degree in Science Education preferred
  • Prior experience teaching science at the junior high or middle school level preferred
  • Strong content knowledge in multiple science disciplines, including life science, physical science, and earth science
  • Passion for science education and a commitment to inspiring curiosity, inquiry, and critical thinking in students
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters student engagement, motivation, and academic achievement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
