SALES REPRESENTATIVE

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of our sales leadership, the Sales Representative is focused on outside sales with a hyper focus on new business. As the face of LMI Packaging, you will drive multi-year, strategic partnerships that drive both topline and bottom line growth. LMI Packaging is known in our industry as one of the most-trusted suppliers; your leadership through a deliberate sales process will strengthen our position and partnerships. This job earns you commissions along with base salary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Negotiate multi-year supply agreements.
  • Excel in creative sales strategies/prospect outreach not limited to cold-calling, customer visits, tradeshows, etc.
  • Communicate and execute clear, concise customer recaps and action steps upwards and cross-functionally.
  • Excel in selling the organization’s differentiators and value adds vs. leading with price. 
  • Technical inquisitiveness to further strengthen your ability to problem solve and provide superior service to our partners.
  • Demonstrate and familiarize established accounts with new products (services) and developments.
  • Ability to work with Technical Services in troubleshooting issues reported by customers.
  • Ability to work with Production scheduling to ensure customer’s desired receipt dates are met.
  • Ability to understand and communicate pricing information to customers.
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3-5 years sales and/or customer interaction roles.
  • Proven ability to generate new business and land new customers.
  • Knowledge of Flexible Packaging industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
