Overview The Waste Recycling Analyst will be responsible for providing technical expertise to DoD and USG facility managers and policy-makers. This includes conducting assessments and providing recommendations for proposed waste recycling policies and programs in coordination with cross-functional stakeholders. Evaluates feasibility, cost, and mission impact of diverse waste recycling projects to strengthen resilience across the government's facilities portfolio. Responsibilities Requirements: * Provide technical review and subject matter knowledge on waste recycling for facilities and campuses. * Act as a senior technical advisor to DoD and USG stakeholders on expected impacts of proposed projects. * Conduct engineering assessments spanning a variety of waste recycling technologies. * Assess feasibility, cost, and mission impact of diverse recycling project proposals. * Make recommendations to enhance facility resilience through sustainability. * Coordinate with cross agency stakeholders. * Research and respond to sustainability data requests from other oversight agencies (e.g., OMB or Congress) * Validate facility waste recycling requirements against ongoing and proposed projects. * Develop, measure, and recommend waste recycling metrics. * Draft executive summary reports and white papers for sustainability; prepare briefings, feasibility studies, position papers, and similar analytical products in support of the client. * Support sustainability initiatives internally and externally. Respond to Executive Order goal setting requirements such as those in EO 14057 pertaining to sustainability. Qualifications Required: * Bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics, science, engineering, environment or business * Requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in the analysis, planning, and optimization of waste management and recycling practice * Familiarity with circular economy coccnepts and application to waste recycling approaches. * Familiarity with infrastructure and climate resilience concepts and analyses is desired. * Experience in analysis of resource consumption life cycle cost analysis. * Federal sustainability experience preferred. * Experience handling multiple, demanding, and complex tasks in a timely manner with accurate results.
