Livingston Post-Acute Care is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Dietician to join our caring team of professionals. Spring Hills at Livingston is a 124 bed post-acute care center located in Livingston, NJ. The Registered Dietitian will create nutrition plans to improve the health and physical conditions of our residents. The main duties of the Registered Dietitian include analyzing residents’ health status, goals, and dietary restrictions, tracking residents’ dietary intake and progress, and educating residents on how to maintain a balanced diet. The Registered Dietitian will assist the Food Service Director in planning and directing the preparation of modified diets prescribed by medical staff and residents with therapeutic diet needs.

Responsibilities of Registered Dietician:

  • Assess clients’ nutritional and health needs
  • Counsel clients on nutrition issues and healthy eating habits
  • Develop meal and nutrition plans, taking clients’ preferences and budgets into account
  • Evaluate and monitor the effects of nutrition plans and practices and make changes as needed
  • Promote healthy lifestyles by speaking to groups about diet, nutrition, and the relationship between good eating habits and preventing or managing specific diseases
  • Create educational materials about healthy food choices and lifestyle
  • Keep up with or contribute to the latest food and nutritional science research
  • Document clients’ progress

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, food and nutrition, or a related field
  • Current state licensure/certification
  • Current registration by the Commission on Dietetics Registration
  • One (1) year of work experience in a facility setting with clinical responsibilities or equivalent preferred
