MUST BE IN RIVERSIDE COUNTY OR WILLING TO TRAVEL !!!!!!!!!!

Responsibilities:

• Assist students with academic support/enrichment on a shift basis (approximately one-hour shifts per session).
• Conduct individual sessions during the school day or after school hours.
• Help answer students’ questions as they are working through the learning material.
• Support individual student academic needs as assigned.
• Serve as a consistent mentor for an assigned student in group mentoring or one-to-one planned activities.
• Write detailed notes regarding sessions with youth(s)

Qualifications:

• Must enjoy teaching and working with youth in the inner city and urban school districts.
• Must be able to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Must have a positive attitude and like to help people.
• Selected candidates will undergo a background check.
• Must have a strong aptitude in Mathematics, Science, and English.
• Ability to observe, listen, motivate, and provide leadership which results in the best learning environment.
• The ability to work comfortably in both group and individual settings with Foster, Probation, and high-risk youth with behavioral challenges and low academic grades.
• Possess good telecommunication, written, and organizational skills as well as complete paperwork in a timely manner.
• High level of reliability, professional style; and demonstrated initiative and responsibility
• Effectively communicate study strategies to ensure academic success.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
