Recovery Care Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Care Assistant (RCA) to join our addiction services healthcare team. As an RCA, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care to our clients who are starting their journey to recovery. This position requires knowledge and experience in substance abuse treatment, 12-step programs, and familiarity with healthcare standards and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and support clients who are experiencing active withdrawal symptoms,
• Assist with monitoring vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team,
• Assist with activities of daily living,
• Provide emotional support and comfort to clients and their families,
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans,
• Document client information accurately and maintain electronic medical records,
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols,
• Educate clients and their families on SUD/AUD recovery and self-care techniques

Requirements:

• Experience in substance abuse treatment and 12-step programs is preferred
• Strong understanding of healthcare standards and systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Job Types: Part-time, PRN

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Standard shift:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Night shift

Weekly schedule:

• Rotating weekends
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Substance abuse treatment: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (Preferred)
• Overnight Shift (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Nashville, TN (Required)
