Sr. Drilling Product Development Engineer

Full Time Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Development drilling products from design, manufacturing, qualification to field testing

• Collaborate with mechanical engineers for development and optimization of designs.

• Interface with vendors and suppliers for manufacturing efficiency and optimization.

• Participate in assembly, testing, and qualification of engineering prototypes.

• Use SolidWorks to create/maintain engineering project design layouts and production drawings per ASME and ISO standards.

• Create and maintain engineering standards/documents to include material specs, QC specs, and operating procedures.

• Handle special projects as assigned.

Key Skills:

• Proven ability to deliver on time, on target, with quality and sustainability.

• Good interpersonal skills and communication.

• Extensive experience with down-hole drilling product development.

• Strong understanding of mechanical design and engineering as it applies to downhole tool design.

• Demonstrated expertise in 2D & 3D CAD modeling and CFD.

• Design for manufacturability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; with ten years of related experience preferably in hydraulically activated and operated down-hole drilling tool development
