Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow. Your role will involve implementing age-appropriate curriculum, fostering social and emotional development, and promoting a love for learning.
Duties:
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met
- Foster positive relationships with parents/guardians through regular communication and parent-teacher conferences
- Monitor and assess the progress of each child, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to create a cohesive learning community
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, behavior, and academic performance of students
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and equipped with necessary materials for learning
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with preschool-age children in a daycare or educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to connect with young children
- Familiarity with literacy education techniques and resources
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of child welfare regulations and safety protocols
