Job Overview:
*This Position is Part-Time, Four Days a week*
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher in our infant/toddler room and float to our preschool room to join our team. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds and lives of young children. You will create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and develop essential skills for their future.
Responsibilities:
-Assist in developing and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development in various areas such as literacy, math, science, and social skills
- Provide a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a structured and organized learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students, including those with autism or special needs
- Monitor student progress and provide ongoing feedback to parents regarding their child's development
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and social-emotional growth
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments
- Stay updated on current research and best practices in early childhood education
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to plan and implement engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of students
- Familiarity with literacy education strategies for young learners
- Proficient in classroom management techniques that promote a positive learning environment
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with young children
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders
