Job Title: Bilingual Content and Delivery Specialist, Full Time

Reports to: Director of Early Childhood

Location: NYC area – LINC is a hybrid work environment. This role will require some onsite presence, with a significant amount of flexibility to work remotely.

Work Schedule: 5 days/week, with events requiring some varied hours or weekend work

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000, depending on experience, Benefits, and robust Paid Time Off offered

Position Summary

The Content and Delivery Specialist is responsible for developing content and facilitating literacy workshops. Reporting to the Director of Early Childhood and working as a part of the Workshop Delivery and Implementation team, this role closely collaborates with program staff and the Reads Facilitation team to deliver and facilitate culturally, linguistically, and developmentally appropriate content to educators, families, parents, and care providers across all boroughs of NYC so that parents gain knowledge, skills, and a toolbox to support their children’s literacy development. The role will implement high-quality programming that generates curiosity, passion, and enthusiasm among educators, parents, and families, weaving early learning, adult learning theory, family engagement, social and emotional learning, and literacy concepts into all workshops. The ideal candidate has direct facilitation experience in and out of school settings and knows how to engage and create a welcoming environment for families with children, from birth to five. Project management experience is highly desirable. The ability to travel extensively across all boroughs to spread the joy of reading is a must. Proficiency with Canva, Google Suite, Word, Zoom, and other similar platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver workshops and programs in a variety of formats and settings.
  • Ensure that content is developmentally, culturally, and linguistically appropriate for parents and families with children from birth to five years old.
  • Deliver capacity-building workshops to educators and early childhood education staff.
  • Help review, improve, and update program materials that are both engaging and appropriate, and work with the communications team to ensure materials are visually appealing to families.
  • Create outlines and templates for specific programs
  • Use data, research, and feedback to create new program offerings.
  • Support delivery operations and administration, including delivery coordination and scheduling.
  • Assist with documentation, assessment, and reporting.
  • Help to sustain a system where parents’ feedback is heard and valued.
  • Perform all other job-related activities determined by the direct supervisor.
  • Create “grab-and-go kits” for LINC staff with talking points, tips, and activities for families.
  • This role will require constant travel across NYC.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • In-person program implementation experience is required.
  • Comfort with on-screen presentation is helpful (video recordings or live video)
  • 4 years of early education experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of the science of reading
  • Excellent facilitation, and verbal/written communication
  • Spanish language or an additional language a requirement
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a diverse team
  • Experience working with diverse populations across NYC
  • Ability to travel throughout all 5 boroughs of NYC
  • Open to feedback, responsible, accountable, reliable
  • Project Management and experience working within the school system
  • Ability to sustain and grow relationships
  • Humor, a growth mindset, and a Can-Do attitude are highly valued
  • Knowledge of GSuite, Canvas, Zoom, and Microsoft Suite is a plus
