The Linn Benton NAACP is a community-focused branch of the national NAACP, dedicated to promoting equality and eliminating race-based discrimination in Linn, Benton, and surrounding counties in Oregon. Its diverse members work towards ensuring the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights for all persons.

Position Overview:

The Linn Benton NAACP seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented and motivated Operations Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of the Linn Benton NAACP. The Operations Administrator will be responsible for providing administrative support, coordinating projects, and ensuring efficient office operations. This is a part-time position with opportunities for growth and development. The Linn Benton Operations Administrator will collaborate closely with the Executive Committee to meet organization goals, manage programs, engage members and volunteers, and interface with community partners. Key Responsibilities:

- Provide administrative support to the Branch President and Executive Council

(scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, managing correspondence)

- Coordinate event planning and logistics for branch meetings, community forums, and

special events

- Represent the Linn Benton NAACP at city, county, state, and other meetings as needed

- Serve as the primary point of contact, responding promptly and professionally to

inquiries from members, partners, and the public

- Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems for branch records, policies, and

documents

- Assist with marketing and communications efforts (newsletters, website updates, social

media management)

- Attend monthly Executive Council and Membership meetings, providing administrative

support

- Other duties as assigned by the Branch President

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in administrative, project management, or operations

roles, preferably in a non-profit or community organization

- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

and meet deadlines

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and courteous

demeanor

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), database management,

and website maintenance

- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain strict

confidentiality

- Passionate about the NAACP's mission and advancing civil rights and racial justice

- Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends for events and

meetings.
