SUMMARY

Lingua Science is recruiting for a part-time temp position of bilingual (Japanese-English) HR specialist to support relocation activities at a major automotive supplier in Troy, Michigan.

Work in the TROY, MICHIGAN office 16-20 hours / week for 3-6 months.

DUTIES

• Support expatriates from Japan with relocation needs such as benefits, housing, transportation, schools, etc. while on assignment
• Coordinate with the head office and local US offices to resolve visa issues
• Serve as a resource in processing payroll and meeting accounting and tax requirements
• Support onboarding and orientation programs
• Support the HR department with general administrative duties related to Japan staff relocation
• Participate in kaizen activities
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or a field related to HR, or an Associate's degree and equivalent work experience
• Two years of related experience in administration or HR support is preferred
• Bilingual (fluent) in written and spoken Japanese and English
• Proficiency with MSOffice 2007 or newer
• Ability to sustain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in interacting with internal and external clients
• Attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills, and problem solving

$26-$32.50 / hour or negotiable based on experience
