TRIXIE is looking for talented team members to help grow our omnichannel revenue and expand our North American customer base.

As a Sales Manager at TRIXIE Pet Products, you will be a primary point of contact for both existing and future wholesale customers, focusing on key account service, new account setup and product sales. You will work closely with the management team and customer marketing manager to drive sales and promotions. You will be also responsible for working in retailer portals and fulfilling information requests. This position requires a professional, motivated, and responsible individual who can manage multiple customer relationships and is comfortable with new customer acquisition and outside sales.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be initial point of contact for multiple existing, assigned accounts
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
• Initiate contact with pet specialty distributors and present our special line of products
• Maintain distributor relationships and grow the existing lines
• Present our portfolio of products to existing prospects for additional opportunities
• Identify and resolve client concerns; conduct local in person customer visits as needed
• Process customer orders and follow-up regularly with key customer contacts
• Enter new prospective clients into our ERP
• Respond to RFQ’s (Request for Quotes)
• Process monthly reporting or billing reconciliations as needed

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicate regularly with both buyers and sales reps
• Assist management on various tasks as they arise
• Travel for customer visits and trade show attendance
• Represent TRIXIE while training distributor sales reps and clients

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• 3 years of Sales, Marketing or Account Management Experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A demonstrated ability to manage, prioritize and complete multiple tasks
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Microsoft Office
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Motivated and goal oriented

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:

• Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Background in Sales, Marketing or Customer Service preferred
• Travel will be required to customer sites
• Candidate must have effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or with teams/group

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prefer 3 to 5 years’ experience in sales / marketing job function
• Business Information Systems familiarity
• Knowledge of pet products and farm & feed industry is a plus
