About our Company

We are seeking a warm and welcoming (part-time) Coffee Shop Barista to join our team. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry, a love of taking care of people, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities

• Available to work WEEKENDS - required.
• Greet every guest promptly with a smile and maintain eye contact
• Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
• Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
• Offer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the hotel’s standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness
• Demonstrate advanced understanding and knowledge of the sequence of service, following this sequence for every guest.
• Possess expert knowledge of the POS system to correctly and strategically communicate guest orders
• Demonstrate exert proficiency in barista work and all coffee and tea-related subject matter
• Responsible for receiving payment for all items ordered, correct cash handling and gratuity distribution
• Take ownership of all service issues brought to your attention by guests
• Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the hotel
• Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested
• Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions
• Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements

Core Competencies

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Three (3) years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred
