Lindbergh Schools is Hiring an Executive Director of Secondary Education Near St. Louis, MO

Summary: The Executive Director of Secondary Education plays a crucial role in the success of Lindbergh’s secondary programs, supporting high-quality instructional experiences for students. This impactful position involves collaborating with teachers and principals in the areas of professional learning, curriculum, instruction, and college/career readiness. As a part of the Teaching and Learning team, the executive director works with colleagues to ensure continuity between PK-5 programming and advocates for student needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Other duties may be assigned.

  • Design and support programming in grades 6 - 12, including working with building leaders on day to day needs of programs and aligning the work of instructional design coaches.
  • Lead curriculum development process for grades 6 - 12.
  • Manage fiscal responsibilities of curriculum resources, career technical education programs, and alternative education.
  • Align and develop college/career readiness programs with Diploma initiatives.
  • Liaise with college/career readiness partners, including post-secondary institutions and the Career Advisory Council.
  • Lead transition of standards-based learning at the secondary level.
  • Collaborate with building leaders to solve problems and support student needs.
  • Coordinate and lead professional learning at the secondary level.
  • Seek feedback from community partners, including Teaching and Learning Board Advisory members.
  • Provide guidance and support for student discipline issues, serving as the district hearing officer.
  • Investigate relevant legal and policy matters to support student wellness.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Instructional Design Coaches
  • Administrative Assistant

Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum Master’s degree in Educational Leadership
  • Doctoral degree preferred
  • Missouri teaching certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of classroom teaching experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of educational leadership experience
  • Proven expertise in change management
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with educators, parents, and administrators
