Description

We are looking for exceptional people to provide extraordinary care as an Admissions Representative. 

Hours: PRN (as needed)

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Enrolling patients prior to surgery and verifying patient demographic and insurance information. 
  • Collecting any patient financial responsibilities and directing patients and families as necessary.
  • Interact, direct, and instruct patients/visitors in a polite and courteous manner at all times.
  • Review patient insurance information and notify appropriate personnel of any discrepancies.
  • Obtain all necessary registration and consent signatures, ensuring all required registration documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Answer multiple line telephone and accurately route calls and messages.
  • Screen patients for COVID-19
  • Ensure the quality of medical records by verifying their completeness, accuracy and proper data entry.
  • Maintain and operate a variety of health record indexes and storage and retrieval systems to collect, classify, store and analyze information.
  • Scan records into EMR according to department policy.
  • Release information to persons and agencies according to regulations.
  • Protect the security of medical records to ensure that confidentiality is maintained.
  • Audit clinical records for proper content of necessary chart requirements and to ensure that clinical documentation meets minimum documentation standards.

Requirements


  • Previous inpatient, outpatient, and hospital registration experience preferred.
  • Must obtain BLS within ninety (90) days of employment.
  • Must be well organized and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency is necessary, along with attention to detail.
