Lincoln Park Healthcare Campus is currently seeking a Hands On Food Service Director Assistant.
QUALIFICATIONS :
1. A Bachelor degree in Food Service Mgt and / or Nutrition a plus. An Associates Degree in Food Service Mgt or related field plus a 120-hour course in Food Service Sanitation & safety a must.
At least 3 years Supervisory experience required.
POSITION SUMMARY :
Assume Food Service Director responsibilities in his / her absence. Assume all In-service training of all dietary employees.
1. Coordinates cycle menus with input from the F / S / D & Dietitian’s, in order to comply with State and local nutritional guidelines.
2. Update all policy and procedure of the Dietary Department as directed by the F / S / D.
3. Revise and implement all In-Service training for the dietary dept. staff with guidance and input from the lead dietitian.
All in-service scheduling needs approval from the F / S / D.
4. Revise and evaluates the efficiency of all sanitation procedures and / or products. Any changes and / or start-up policies must be approved by the F / S / D.
5. Needs to fill any staffing positions when needed as directed by F / S / D.
6. Attends any meeting that handles and / or addresses any area of resident / patient meal service, menu changes and / or dietary concerns and / or as directed by the F / S / D.
7. Notifies the F / S / D of any request for job description changes and all employee annual reviews as they become due on a monthly basis.
The FSD will delegate any and all supervisors (including the Asst. FSD) to complete any / or all employee reviews as needed.
8. Ensure responsibility for the accuracy of all resident profiles daily.
9. Adheres to all sanitary regulations governing handling storing and serving of food and training of staff.
10. oversees that meals are served on schedule as directed by F / S / D.
11. Is aware of all safety regulations and responsibilities to serve and train dietary staff as directed.
12. Investigates trends and developments in dietary, practices and techniques, and evaluates their adaptability to dietary programs.
13. Offers assistance and input to Food Service Director during both the performance appraisal and disciplinary process for dietary staff as needed.
14. Ensure that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights.
15. Develops, revises, and adapts work techniques and methods for more efficient operation of Meal Tracker System and for training employees on all programs.
