Description

Head Start has an opening for a full-time Cook position working 35 hours a week with a schedule operating close to the public-school calendar. Responsible for maintaining sanitation standards, safety, preparing and storing food, maintaining accurate records for food purchases and supplies, serving meals and snacks in a family-style setting, participating in staff meetings, and staff development.

Requirements

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience with food preparation desirable with the ability to learn and implement food programs is necessary. 

Must meet Head Start and Indiana Child Care Licensing Regulations, including Head Start Standards of Conduct, federal and state criminal history requirements, sex offender registry checks, drug screen, physical and complete an annual T.B. test.
