This position is responsible for coordinating the Lincoln County Animal Services Community Engagement Program.

Develops, coordinates and oversees Lincoln County’s Community Spay and Neuter Program and ensures that the program complies with all local and state laws.
Maintains required records for state reimbursement including but not limited to; applications, proof of government assistance, and a list of completed surgeries.
Compiles an electronic waitlist of residents that are requesting spay and neuter services and accepts necessary payments.
Maintains a schedule of spay and neuter transports, arrives prior to the scheduled time to oversee transport efforts and ensures that all paperwork is completed.
Develops, promotes and oversees the resource donation program, tracks resource inventory and keeps database current.
Plans and executes routine rabies and microchip clinics for the community.
Monitors and inventories the community food pantry.
Seeks and competes grants in regards to spay and neuter efforts and community engagement.
Oversees and updates the Amazon Wishlist.
Organizes and oversees community engagement, education and outreach events.
Creates and distributes flyers and other informational materials.
Performs a variety of animal care duties including, but not limited to; transport, animal care and enrichment.
Assists in the management of social media accounts.
Performs related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of North Carolina for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
