Lincoln Community Health Center is Hiring a Scheduling Assistant Near Durham, NC

SCHEDULING ASSISTANT
POSITION SUMMARY: Scheduling Assistant is responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical duties that are necessary to run and maintain organization efficiently. Assisting in the coordination of clinic schedules for Lincoln Community Health Center medical providers, specialty clinics and Satellite Clinics.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent verbal, writing and editing skills. Strong information technology skills including Internet, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel and other scheduling and planning software; typing and word processing skills; database experience helpful. Intelligent, hardworking, energetic individual with high productivity and results and task oriented. Strong interpersonal skills, willingness to listen, take direction and work with others. Organized, able to multi-task, focus and able to perform tasks quickly and accurately. Discretion and sound judgment. Speak and write clearly and concisely. Use appropriate grammar. Ask questions clearly. Use positive tone of voice. Follow directions (oral and written). Give clear instructions. Demonstrate ability to present information orally. Exhibit good listening skills. Demonstrate punctuality/dependability/flexibility, positive attitude/ethics, teamwork skills. Ability to work with all types of people in a diverse workplace and demonstrate awareness of cultural diversity, critical thinking/problem solving skills. Follow line of authority. Handle multiple responsibilities.
High school diploma or equivalent or associate degree in related field strongly desired. Five or more years of administrative clerical and scheduling experience in ambulatory care setting required. Must have working knowledge of HIPAA and Joint Commission Patient Care Standards.
