Job Description
Our commitment to excellent guest services is what drives us, and we are dedicated to hiring outstanding individuals who share our passion for ensuring our guests have an exceptional experience while staying with us. We are currently looking for a hardworking and motivated individual to join our housekeeping team. The Guest Room Attendant performs any combination of cleaning duties to maintain our hotel rooms in a clean and orderly manner and meets all expected cleaning times for rooms according to brand standard. Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.
Responsibilities
- Makes beds; replenishes linens; cleans room, bathroom, and halls; and vacuums
- Unloads/loads housekeeping cart with supplies and replaces cleaning supplies as needed
- Reports all problems and any maintenance repairs as needed
- Communicates with supervisor on room status, work progress, and all guest requests and problems
- Records and turns in all lost & found items
- Keeps cart clean, neat, and stocked
- Reports any unsafe conditions immediately
- Completes all other duties as assigned to include cross training
- Attends monthly department meetings
- Actively seeks out other tasks when current work is completed
- Participates in ongoing education and training of Franchise and Hotel Management Company
Qualifications
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to pass physical exam, drug test, and background check
- Must be physically able to carry out duties, which includes walking and standing to a significant degree, reaching, handling, climbing, balancing, lifting, crouching, kneeling, stooping, smelling, and seeing
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and frequently lift and/or carry/transport objects weighing up to 10 pounds
- Must be willing and able to work with potential exposure to paint, solvents, cleaning chemicals, and/or fumes
