Performance Expectations
- Operates and maintains machinery and production line equipment
- Performs visual check of production equipment, machinery, supplies (at the beginning of every shift and before executing the job orders)
- Maintains workstation and production floor clean, safe, and organized. Cleans workplace daily (used equipment, machine, floor)
- Reports all defects and unsafe operations immediately to the supervisor or manager
- Follows health and safety standards (safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation). Complies with safety precautions by systematically rectifying faults
- Repairs any minor electrical malfunctions and carries out appropriate repairs
- Other assigned tasks as needed
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-3 years of automotive manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to work as part of a team (ability to cooperate with team, ability to contribute on team results)
- Ability to understand written instructions
- Ability to cope with rapid and sudden changes in information - ability to respond to them adequately
- Ability to perform mechanical, routine work
- Ability to work with various work tools (ability to use control and measuring devices)
- Work initiative, non-conflict
- Available for shift work
- Able to work overtime as required
- Physical dexterity - moderate physical demand
- Lift up to 40 pounds
- Stand and/or walk up to 12 hours
