Who You Are…

As Compliance Leader, you will be responsible for the overall management of the compliance program at the Company. This role will bring together a diverse set of subject matter experts to assess, develop and sustain the necessary compliance structure. This individual will be a critical liaison for the executive team to the broader organization on a wide variety of topics. They will own the implementation of compliance related action plans, the education of the organization on critical risks, as well as keeping the business well informed of changing compliance landscape topics.

This Position…

Some examples of the work you might do includes:

  • Designs, establishes and maintains an effective compliance program (such as SME council, policies, controls, audits, education, risk assessments).
  • Consistent, structured engagement with internal and external SME in furtherance of compliance goals and requirements.
  • Conducts regular risk assessments across the organization, partnering with SMEs as required.
  • Periodically audits key aspects of the compliance program within the Company.
  • Identifies top business risk areas and aligns preventative measures, such as policy amendments, education, implementation of compliance goals and requirements.
  • Engages critical stakeholders across the organization for insights on continuous improvement.
  • Provides regular updates to the executive leadership team.
  • Owns the overall program management of the compliance program.
  • Coaches and educates key stakeholders on pertinent regulatory and process compliance matters.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What You Need…

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7 years of demonstrated experience in compliance, business, preferably at a public company.
  • Prior experience serving in a compliance organization, with a depth in compliance assessments, program design and management, and continuous improvement.
  • Proven, strong ability to work independently and function as a single-person department.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience designing and leading a compliance program.
  • Demonstrated experience in cross-functional collaboration and partnering with SMEs.
  • Previous leadership of compliance SME councils, policy revision, compliance requirements, audits, compliance continuing education and awareness for the Company and risk assessments.
  • Experience identifying and prioritizing top business and legal risk areas and aligning preventative measures, such as policy amendments, education, implementation of requirements.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated program management experience, detail orientation and leadership in a matrix environment.
  • History of continuous improvement and driving business results.
  • Strong collaboration and coaching ability at all levels.

Work Environment:

  • This position operates primarily in a professional office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands:

  • In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
