Assisted Living Manager

Essential Purpose of the Position:

The position of the Assisted Living Manager is to ensure the delivery of high quality resident care while meeting state standards, oversee staff and all scheduling issues and provide a loving home for all of our residents and their families.

Oversee functions of Lilac Homes to include:

· Continuously stay abreast of current guidelines for Assisted Living facilities

· Committee member for Quality Assurance guidelines and management. The Manager will maintain its records.

· Scheduling staff to meet organizational goals to ensure coverage of resident care is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

· Supervising the Assistant Manager, Lead staff, Resident Assistants, Kitchen supervisor and kitchen staff at the direction of the RN.

· Will be available to direct, guide and assist with daily operations of the facility. The Manager will manage staffing issues Monday through Friday and every other weekend.

· Delegating duties to the Assistant Manager, Leads, including, but not limited to scheduling issues, documentation review, overseeing resident care, and activity schedule.

· Oversees human resource function for employees and volunteers. Provides interviews and screening, reference checks, hiring/firing, orientation and training.

· Payroll to include reviewing and approving time cards for payroll process.

· Approving the switching of shifts for all staff.

· Ensure staff have the required training for the AWAIR program, emergency policies, State Guidelines upon hiring

· Follows organization’s staff discipline procedures and documentation.

· Coordinate with the Assistant Manager in continuing education for each caregiver ensuring they meet minimum state standards each year.

· Oversees employee files for required documentation.

· Maintain emergency contact information for all staff.

· Maintain and update policies under the direction of the RN.

· Coordinate and conduct staff meetings on a quarterly basis.

· Provides tours to prospective residents and interested parties.

· Creates a schedule and oversees the activity program so that it promotes mental stimulation, physical exercise and entertainment to the residents.

· Manage the kitchen supervisor to ensure the menu will meet the nutritional needs of the residents.

· Ensure meal preparation, storage of food and kitchen cleaning duties meet state standards.

· Contacting contractors for repairs needed for facility appliances.

· Conduct quarterly fire alarm drills to involve scheduled staff.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
