About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and hands-on Packing House Floor Manager to oversee the daily operations of our packing crew. In this role, you will be responsible for the well-being and development of our staff, ensuring efficient and high-quality product processing. Other tasks will include assisting the inventory and logistics managers with general warehouse needs. This position reports to the owner, and works conducive with the rest of the management team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead by Example: Oversee & guide the training of the order fulfillment staff. Be a visible presence on the packing floor, actively coaching and mentoring staff on packing techniques, optimizing workflows, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• People Person: Responsible for hiring, scheduling, retention, feedback, disciplinary action and performance management. Build strong relationships with all packing crew members, including both packers and drivers. Provide clear expectations and feedback, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Efficiency Champion: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve overall packing efficiency, including optimizing downtime activities.
• Quality Control: Ensure products meet all necessary standards and specifications. Maintain clear communication with other departments (e.g., receiving, customer service) to address any product inconsistencies.
• Team Player: Be prepared to jump in and assist with packing tasks as needed, staying fully engaged with the daily flow of operations.
• Organizational Guru: Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Delegate tasks effectively based on daily, weekly, and monthly checklists.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships

with staff at all levels.

• Keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality control.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• A positive and energetic attitude with a willingness to get your hands dirty.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Radical Candor principles a plus.
• Familiarity with packing house operations and best practices.
